Well, as things keep on moving along… everything’s more messed up now than before.
Everything’s fluctuating so quickly that you can’t tell one way or another who’s going to win what — but at least we know that 0% reporting states are going for one candidate according to the maps.
What’s strange is…. it appears right now that Obama’s planning on winning and McCain’s preparing his losing speech to thank his supporters — and the night’s not even halfway over.
Well if the really, really early results (under 20% reporting in the few states actually turning in results) were to hold — and the other states were to follow suit — McCain would win by a landslide – state-wise. However, the actual Americans voting are somewhat split 50/50.
But as everyone knows — early things mean nothing.
Today’s the day! Get out and vote — go on your lunch break — anything.
Just vote for whoever you really want and believe in, not just someone because it’d trendy or you believe that they’re the ones to go for because everyone else is.
Don’t forget to vote if you havne’t! But then let’s be honest, few people probably “forget” to vote. So how about this: if you don’t like any of the two candidates, vote for a third party. That way in future elections you might just have more choices.
There’s a few things to remember when you go and vote:
- Politicians aren’t god
- Politicians want to be elected — just because they say they’ll do something doesn’t mean they will
- If you worship the politician — be afraid. They’re human just like the rest of us (only they probably blow more money a year than the people they represent make).
Only a few days left until the election — please remember to go out and vote.
That in itself is insulting — most likely to the socialists. When you have two parties in a country bashing each other’s brains out to see which group-mentality leader of the drones comes out on top (you know you’ve seen them — the people who are 100% for Obama or McCain no matter what they say or do), then one goes around and calls the other a socialist in a round about way in a negative light.
I know, some of you out there think that’s not a problem – but imagine if you called someone a communist, republican or a democrat. It’s not all fun and games until someone insults your belief or party. It’s something to remember. If you’d get upset if someone were to make a comment using your belief or party as the “bad” phrase – it shouldn’t be said.
Now this is perhaps one of the worst things I’ve ever seen. Actually with all the crap I’ve been seeing around here lately I haven’t been in the frame of mind to be even slightly objective these past weeks. However this thing is absolutely wrong. Personally I think neither should be done, no matter what they think (there’s just a line you shouldn’t cross….). And my problem is, well, confusing in a sense – but it’s along the lines of making jokes about the Klan – and implying someone’s in it to sway votes…. Anyway…
Obama supporter puts up a “Halloween” display with McCain in a KKK hood chasing Obama — granted the person doing so said he thought it’d be offensive to everyone — but it’s made the news in a somewhat “positive” swing from what all I’ve read.
But then there’s another man who took that idea and did a variant of it — an Obama sign upside down on a “ghost” that’s hanging from a tree. Media’s interpretation of it? People are afraid, find it racist, evil, wrong and think it shouldn’t be allowed (some think he might try to assassinate him because of it) and it has a “negative” swing (despite him apparently saying he did it in response to the McCain KKK thing).
Now while I find them both wrong — it just goes to show the way some people seem to be going this election — either you’re for Obama, or you’re racist.
Yes, you read that right.
I’m getting so annoyed with this “change” all the parties are chanting like mindless brain-seeking zombies (“chaaaaaaaaaannnnngne”). A lot of the time it makes absolutely no sense whatsoever. Candidates are saying they’re the candidate for change — and asking for you to re-elect them (you know, the things they’ve been doing apparently are lies or something – otherwise they’d be doing the same-old thing not “change” when put back in). Other candidates are saying “change!” like it’s the magical word that makes it all better. Like a mother’s kiss on a boo-boo, or open source in the computer world (hey, I use and write it! I’ve just lost count to the people who light up like a child on Christmas day when they find out a program’s open source).
It’s like the parties are saying: “we, the same two parties and people, that have the same beliefs as those currently in office are wanting you to elect (or re-elect) us to office so you can have CHANGE!!!!!”
It’s like taking ex-lax to get rid of diarrhea. You might run out of crap sometime, but you’re not quite sure what you’re going to be left with once it happens – and you’re pretty sure you’re not going to like what’s going on until then.
So here it is. What’s really important?
What set of beliefs, goals, or anything else is it that people really want? Is it to live out a life peacefully? To have a home? A family? Mabe food? The right to terminate a pregnancy if your daughter that was a product of rape from your father was raped by your father (dad rapes his daughter, daughter gets pregnant, then father rapes his daughter he had with his daghter)? The right to practice sodomy with your loved one? [Here's a hint -- sodomy is oral sex too!] Maybe people only want to breathe?
I’ve been saying for years that the only thing people can do for free these days is breathe, but only until they find a way of cleaning the air — apparently in Canada they’ve recently created some CO2 scrubber for the environment. Know what that means? Yep, as soon as it’s used, you’ll have to pay money to breath too.
More and more people seem to be diagnosed with depression these days. People seem to be diagnosed with some disease constantly. Think for a few moments and see how many people you know that have no diseases. I’m talking about any diagnosed thing from migraines to cancer. How many people do you know? Any?
Everything’s getting to the point of businesses are deciding who gets elected to make sure they get money whenever they want – and laws passed to keep them in business. Then the businesses create things that make it so you either have to pay them for their services, or risk losing your kids, house, or just being thrown in jail (some places have a “you must have city water and sewer or else”, not saying that it in itself is bad….). Now while a number of these business services (food, water, etc) are useful and basically required for life — we could live without them (albeit at a drastically reduced population and potentially more health problems).
The main problem with a lot of things is that you have no choice in it. Want water? You’ve got to pay. Think you can take it from a river? Well…. depends on who owns the river in the area. Even if you don’t get arrested, you might be breaking the law by drinking it – or even risking your life if some corporation’s dumping in it. Think you can grow your own food? Yeah, but you’ve got to own the land. Own land? OK… but you’ve still got to pay taxes. Need money? Well then you’ve got to work for a business, or just of had a good inheritance.
So what is important to you? If you want freedom to live in peace, don’t vote for the democrats or republicans. They’re the candidates for the corporations.
