Then why do we even bother?  I’m not saying we shouldn’t, but during the last election the phrase “no republican has ever won without winning Ohio” came up quite a lot — some news agencies even gave the presidency to Obama the second they knew who won Ohio.

So it does raise the question, if the other states are so well known for who they’ll go, is that a problem?  Are the states really voting for the beliefs of the candidate, or just the party?  And if one state decides it all (so to speak) why do they even bother?

It’s just one of those things that’s highly upsetting if you think about it.  Millions of people get tossed aside because they don’t count in the overall thing, and all the campainging gets done in a few states – but then it’s all down to one state in the end anyway.

There’s a few things to remember when you go and vote:

  1. Politicians aren’t god
  2. Politicians want to be elected — just because they say they’ll do something doesn’t mean they will
  3. If you worship the politician — be afraid.  They’re human just like the rest of us (only they probably blow more money a year than the people they represent make).

Now this is perhaps one of the worst things I’ve ever seen.  Actually with all the crap I’ve been seeing around here lately I haven’t been in the frame of mind to be even slightly objective these past weeks.  However this thing is absolutely wrong.  Personally I think neither should be done, no matter what they think (there’s just a line you shouldn’t cross….).  And my problem is, well, confusing in a sense – but it’s along the lines of making jokes about the Klan – and implying someone’s in it to sway votes…. Anyway…

Obama supporter puts up a “Halloween” display with McCain in a KKK hood chasing Obama — granted the person doing so said he thought it’d be offensive to everyone — but it’s made the news in a somewhat “positive” swing from what all I’ve read.

But then there’s another man who took that idea and did a variant of it — an Obama sign upside down on a “ghost” that’s hanging from a tree.  Media’s interpretation of it?  People are afraid, find it racist, evil, wrong and think it shouldn’t be allowed (some think he might try to assassinate him because of it) and it has a “negative” swing (despite him apparently saying he did it in response to the McCain KKK thing).

Now while I find them both wrong — it just goes to show the way some people seem to be going this election — either you’re for Obama, or you’re racist.

Yes, you read that right.

I’m getting so annoyed with this “change” all the parties are chanting like mindless brain-seeking zombies (“chaaaaaaaaaannnnngne”).  A lot of the time it makes absolutely no sense whatsoever.  Candidates are saying they’re the candidate for change — and asking for you to re-elect them (you know, the things they’ve been doing apparently are lies or something – otherwise they’d be doing the same-old thing not “change” when put back in).  Other candidates are saying “change!” like it’s the magical word that makes it all better.  Like a mother’s kiss on a boo-boo, or open source in the computer world (hey, I use and write it!  I’ve just lost count to the people who light up like a child on Christmas day when they find out a program’s open source).

It’s like the parties are saying: “we, the same two parties and people, that have the same beliefs as those currently in office are wanting you to elect (or re-elect) us to office so you can have CHANGE!!!!!”

It’s like taking ex-lax to get rid of diarrhea.  You might run out of crap sometime, but you’re not quite sure what you’re going to be left with once it happens – and you’re pretty sure you’re not going to like what’s going on until then.

So here it is.  What’s really important?

What set of beliefs, goals, or anything else is it that people really want?  Is it to live out a life peacefully?  To have a home?  A family?  Mabe food?  The right to terminate a pregnancy if your daughter that was a product of rape from your father was raped by your father (dad rapes his daughter, daughter gets pregnant, then father rapes his daughter he had with his daghter)?  The right to practice sodomy with your loved one?  [Here's a hint -- sodomy is oral sex too!]  Maybe people only want to breathe?

I’ve been saying for years that the only thing people can do for free these days is breathe, but only until they find a way of cleaning the air — apparently in Canada they’ve recently created some CO2 scrubber for the environment.  Know what that means?  Yep, as soon as it’s used, you’ll have to pay money to breath too.

More and more people seem to be diagnosed with depression these days.  People seem to be diagnosed with some disease constantly.  Think for a few moments and see how many people you know that have no diseases.  I’m talking about any diagnosed thing from migraines to cancer.  How many people do you know?  Any?

Everything’s getting to the point of businesses are deciding who gets elected to make sure they get money whenever they want – and laws passed to keep them in business.  Then the businesses create things that make it so you either have to pay them for their services, or risk losing your kids, house, or just being thrown in jail (some places have a “you must have city water and sewer or else”, not saying that it in itself is bad….).  Now while a number of these business services (food, water, etc) are useful and basically required for life — we could live without them (albeit at a drastically reduced population and potentially more health problems).

The main problem with a lot of things is that you have no choice in it.  Want water?  You’ve got to pay.  Think you can take it from a river?  Well…. depends on who owns the river in the area.  Even if you don’t get arrested, you might be breaking the law by drinking it – or even risking your life if some corporation’s dumping in it.  Think you can grow your own food?  Yeah, but you’ve got to own the land.  Own land?  OK… but you’ve still got to pay taxes.  Need money?  Well then you’ve got to work for a business, or just of had a good inheritance.

So what is important to you?  If you want freedom to live in peace, don’t vote for the democrats or republicans.  They’re the candidates for the corporations.

i know there’s a lot of people happy over this, but really it’s not a good thing.  People have stopped walking around more – instead they’re taking their cars places again.  Prices in the store haven’t dropped (around me at least).  No other discounts on products or services that were raised “because of the gas prices”.

Yet I kept on hearing people saying “if gas was lower prices will drop in the stores!  Yeah…. what happened was all these places discovered that people would spend more money for things, so now there’s no reason to drop them — more money for the businesses.  Now I don’t blame them entirely… as you never know what the gas prices will be one day to another — but i just goes to show that the prices people were used to won’t be around anytime soon.

But doesn’t it seem all-too-suspecious that prices dropped right around election time?  Sometimes a coincidence is a coincidence — other times not.  But considering that there’s basically one party in favor of the oil companies and a number of other parties, well not “against” but not as “favorable” towards them, it sure does seem to be an election plot by the oil.

Media chooses who does and doesn’t get spots and when during shows, and the edit the news for what’s “newsworthy” which has the effect of deciding who gets elected in a sense — and now the oil companies help out the other way to make it “balanced” —- or other company based on the election, but generally the media seems more democrat based than republican, although I’ve seen them be “discriminating” against both parties in my lifeime.

Couldn’t you just picture it? A tie in the presidential race. While it’d be pretty unlikely to happen (an incident involving popular vote vs electoral college would be more likely), it’d just add to the uproar in the country.

For one, it’d go to the house to decide. And no matter what they’d choose — close to half of the country would disagree and claim some conspiracy. Perhaps it would be an interesting thing to have happen just to see how the people would react.

This election will be the funniest election in the history of the country.  Well, funny for the comedians, not so much for the people who will have to live under the rule.

Imagine it….We’ll either end up with the first black president, or the first woman vice president (that more people want to sleep with than probably agree with her political viewpoints).  No matter what we’ll have comic fodder for years — either racist jokes, or sexist jokes.  And while one would think we’re supposed to be moving forward with the choices for the election, it won’t start that way.  The sad thing is, you know there’s people out there voting based on who’ll make the best comedy jokes.

I have to say that this election is starting to get so far off track for what matters that it isn’t even funny.  Oh, maybe in a comedy sketch way – but that’s not good for the country.

Now this election is getting categorized into a simple way: 2 old people, and 2 young people — where the “young” people are divided into the “black” man and the “f*able woman”.  Already there’s people trying to figure out if they want to have a black man in office to prove they aren’t racist, or a woman they can “enjoy” whenever she’s on the TV.

Gotta love that right?  War?  Who cares!  We want sexy people we can “enjoy” talking.  And to think, before that it was about experience, and sometime long long ago (so it seems) it was about the war and human rights.
