While we just posted about the candidate sueing over them missing it, it’s also said on other places that they did file in time — well they filed with dummy candidates or something to be on the ballot, but not with the actual candidates, and they would update with the proper people.  So the filing date actually doesn’t apply to any part holding a convention….. that holds power.

We’ll see…  Actually we’ll see the case get taken to court, people realizing that this type of thing shouldn’t be done.  Tons of people getting in an uproar, then it being brushed under the table in the wonderous mind-washing abilities of the mind-numbing speakers we call the establishment.

Well I can’t say for certain, although it wouldn’t surprise me considering the difficulty in third parties getting on the ballot there, and the “two” parties seeming to think they’re not above the law, but are the law.

Nevertheless, Bob Barr Filed suit saying both parties missed the deadline and therefore shoudln’t be found on the ballot.  Let’s be honest here, if there’s a deadline that all candidates need to abide by, and even if the major two parties don’t — too bad.  It’s either the rule and guidelines for all, or it’s being used to intentionally block the other parties from having access to the people.

So here it is, McCain selects Palin to run as vice-president, and now people are screaming about her not being qualified. Of course they’re also saying Obama isn’t qualified. Which leads to the inevitable debate: which is more (or least) qualified?

It’s one of those things that should make people really think for a few minutes. The entire situation is quite simple really: Obama – Palin, McCain – Biden. They’ve got an “inexperienced” person paired with an “experienced” one to balance things out. The people are picked not for who will be best for the job, but who will be most likely to get in. It’s politics. The establishment’s been doing this since, well, a long while.

What should strike people as funny, and make this experience point moot, is when you think of the United States. How much experience in running a country and international relations did the founding fathers of the USA have? Think a moment – they founded the country. Now think of all these experienced politicians running the country and what they’ve managed to do: start wars with other countries that people don’t want, imprison people for no reason, look the other way when the people get trampled on, cut the rights of the people for their own protection, line their pockets with corporate money or just happening to have their corporation get govt. contracts, and ignoring the desires of the people for the right price.

So to recap:

  • Inexperienced = new country
  • Experienced = corruption and loss of liberty

So why do we want experienced people in office again?

Does anyone see the irony in this?

While this is short for now, as this is a busy week and all, I keep on getting reminded every single day that the government offices that I ask questions from don’t seem to like responding. They don’t send read receipts, nothing. I don’t even have a clue to if many of them have even received the message. It makes a person want to send an actual letter through the postal service. Of course they’re probably screened for “security” and “misplaced” if it contains information they don’t want to see.

I’ll have more of this later on.

Absolute Truth

by | August 9, 2008 | In government No Comments

Complete and total truth. It’s the one thing society doesn’t have, and for the most part never will. Unless, of course, women really want to know that “yes, that dress does make you look fat — your butt’s sticking out like you’re smuggling a ham”, and unless someone really wants to know what gift they got for their birthday, there will be some lies. But these aren’t the areas where there needs to be complete and accurate truth. I’m talking about the government.

Name one good reason why there needs to be classified anything in the government. Why does the government need to lie about anything? Aren’t they the ones elected by the people that are supposed to do what they want?

If something is so secret that it needs to be covered up — it shouldn’t have happened to begin with! It’s quite simple. Declassify everything. Every little bit of government information — make it public. Have a TV station, website (central, easy to use, easy to find, easy to navigate, easy to search, etc — with live help) all available that someone just turns to a channel and sees all the wonderful things going on. Click a link and get live webcam feeds to all the offices (well, some privacy for people — like the same that the people get) with sound so everything going in can be seen and heard in real-time. Make all the laws and such done in a simple English that even a kid in sixth grade can understand on the first read.

And don’t go putting in little clauses into bills, “all congressman to get a 500% pay increase, oh, and 50million to alternative fuel research”, so that if someone says “no” they’re bashed for not wanting alternative fuel research, but if they say “yes” they don’t get bashed for wanting a pay increase (that example is fictitious). Keep to the absolute truth behind things. Make it so the people can see exactly what it is the government is doing. The more you classify, the more you keep hidden — the more it seems obvious that the government is doing things that it isn’t supposed to be doing. If there’s a conspiracy theory — the complete truth hasn’t been revealed; or it has, and the people just refuse to believe – just until there’s no classified information, there’s no way to know.

It’s time for the truth to come out, for the government to tell the people what it’s really been doing. Senator have sex with a prostitute while his wife was pregnant so it’s covered up? Who really cares? Politicians are human (unless a classified document shows that aliens landed, had sex with humans, and the offspring are now in office) — and humans do weird things such as *gasp* have sex! And sometimes drink! And make bad decisions! And they aren’t perfect! If the government is told that every day they have to report everything it did to the people with nothing held back it’d be better. Conspiracies would die out, nothing shocking would ever happen. If someone says “death to America” — you’ll know why they think that way.

It’s when a politician holds a meeting and you see them talking and getting ready for the meeting that it makes you wonder: “what aren’t they saying?” The unknown — it’s what can make the truth a complete lie.

Governments need to be completely 100% honest and truthful to their people. They shouldn’t have any classified information. Trade secrets for development of things, that’s a bit different as corporations can have them as well; meaning that if they’re creating a new submarine, I wouldn’t expect them to publish the design plans, but I would expect them to tell the people what they’re doing — and give details once it’s done.

Day in and out you can see multiple failures in governments. Now I won’t say it’s always the government’s fault as there could very well be good people in the lower branches or just people that try to do their best — they just get out shouted and out voted until they finally give up or keep on voting and feel a small piece of them die inside.

But there’s a dark side to the high gas prices, one that while could be fixed by simple changes in towns that are in place or available now in other places. What is it? It’s the inability for the fixed income people (won’t say “elderly” as not all fixed income are elderly) to actually get the food they need for life. There’s a number of people all over that rely on food service trucks to stop by every day and provide them with meals. In some areas, it’s done out of the “goodness” of the people (some get paid, but I’ve known some that don’t). As prices increase for gas, so do their costs.

I’ve seen in my own town these food delivery trucks becoming more and more scarce. I don’t know what happened to them! I know they still provide food, yet…. they’re almost never seen. Just a few months even I’d see them driving around and dropping off foil-covered dishes to homes. Now, scarcely a one. They can’t afford it. Even a few people I know in town have to have their own relatives make extra trips just to bring them food —- and while I understand that’s what one would expect, the point is they have to now because the other services are no longer available to them.

And where is the government during these times? Running all the way to the bank with the oil checks in hand? If not, you’d sure think they were. All they’d need to do is send money to their own people in the county to make sure they’re fed. After all, they’re quick to charge these people for taxes on their property and checks they get. Quick to take, but slow to give. And this is what people are voted in to do?

It’s said that a country (person, society, etc) can be judged by the treatment of the animals. Well I believe that’s one indication for sure — but how they treat any innocent or unable to take care of themselves as they once could (children/elderly) is even better. To think that there’s people not able to eat — people that need to eat more than others — can’t get food because people can’t afford to get it to them…. It’s a sad situation. I just wonder how many people will have to be hospitalized or die before the government would step in. But then, the government is more than willing to spend trillions in devices to kill; so I guess it shouldn’t be unexpected.
